Drum set illustration and lettering hand painted and designed by equin-co™ In silver, black and multicolor on blue cotton t-shirt.
This week’s orders had me exhausted! I will post according to the category, BUT, the general theme was music/dance! Which got me excited because I always listen to music when I work.
Ok, maybe not *always* but often!
🙂
SO this weekend a very excited mom called me and asked for a drum design for her two young boys who apparently just picked up the instruments and oh-so-excited. It rubbed onto me, naturally, so I planned something festive and pop-artsy.
The blue one is for the bigger brother and the grey is for the younger sibling.

Fellow Star-Wars lovers! This post goes to you, as I recently got an order to design a Star-Wars themed t-shirt. I was requested that the design should reflect Star wars theme, but be cute and lovable, as well.

What about you, guys? I love Star Wars and everything about it, maybe because it symbolizes a fantasy fiction world in my head and doing things you are not able to, here on earth!
I was way too young when the series came up, but thanks to technology, you can look up and download episodes, dvd’s, etc..
I liked how it turned out, and hope you enjoy it as well !
“let’s Adore and Endure each other” brain-storm sketch.
Hello everyone!
I, once again, would like to start the week with positive and enduring thoughts! Hug around, folks :)))
This last weekend, I had a friend coming over, who is quite the twitter phenomenon “celebrity” and has the ultimate publicity potential! Hah, not that, but I really wanted to give a gift to her, also because she had been following my posts and stating she wanted one, so I made it real!
The thing was, I couldn’t ask her what she wanted, like “Hey, any cool quotes in your mind for me to put on a t-shirt?” That would have ruined the surprise, so I browsed through her albums and tried to catch something that she might like. I saw this photo of a quote on a wall in London, in a recent trip she had been, so I went with this!
I liked how it turned out, did you?

I wanted to make her more than one, so that she could “publicize” easier (!) but I had limited time, as I had other orders of clients lined up!
The thing about creative/crafty work is you want to give gifts to your friends and family, but the leisure joy of it vanishes when you actually make a living out of it and try to meet the deadlines, *while* being innovative and creative.
I steal time from my work, blur the line between work & play, and prepare some form of art – may it be cupcake decorations, home solutions or jewelry design- just for the sake of it, so that I don’t get carried away in the dull routine of work.
Oh, the deadlines I have to meet?
The clients are happily wearing their equin-co’s as I type. 😉
Today’s inspirational quote is, “change your thoughts and your world will change.”
Lots of people are unaware of this simple fact, but it is so effective, knowing we stumble ourselves into the situations we currently hate, as a result of a once very needed occasion.
This “mantra” or philosophy if you will, like any other perfected habits, requires practice. Repetition and decisiveness are the key to permanent results.
I hope this inspires you to begin your own process of whatever-you-like !!
