This weekend’s order was a music-themed design which involved highly around amps and guitars and stereo speakers. Which made me excited, actually, i always like a project that revolves outside of my comfort zone (which is animal cartoons-obviously)
This t-shirt actually made its way aaaaaalll the way to Italy! It was a design for an Italian photographer, who, apparently also enjoyed some quality electronic music.

Selam herkese!
Bu haftasonu yaptigim tisort, muzik temaliydi. Oyle boyle bir muzik degil, amfiler, stereo hoparlorler ve elektronik gitarlar iceren bir muzik temasi! Aslinda bu tarz projeleri seviyorum, cunku yaraticiligimi alisilagelenin(hayvan cizimleri tabii ki 🙂 )disina dogru zorluyorlar.
Bir baska degisiklik ise bu tisort taaaa Italya’ya kadar gitti. Bu muzik temali tisort, elektronik muzik tutkunu Italyan bir fotografciya yapildi.

I have taken a little break from blogging, well, because… Simply because I had sooo much hands-on work that I needed to do that took time away from blogging world.
Anyhow, here I am! With a lovely client and an interesting order… The girl who ordered these t-shirts is so much in love with her boyfriend. Whom she met at a photography club. They both seem to enjoy taking pictures, (and have the same initials!) so she asked me if I could draw a girl taking a picture of a boy- and a boy taking a photo of a girl.

Blog yazmaya ufak bir ara vermistim, cunku… Cunku fiziksel olarak yapmam gereken cok sey vardi! Bunlar icin de klavyeden bir sure uzak kaldim.
Her neyse, cok ilginc bir musteri/siparis ile buradayim… Bu tisortleri siparis eden kiz erkek arkadasina cok asik. Ikisinin de gittigi fotograf klubunde tanistigi erkek arkadasina. Ikisinin de ortak hobisi olan fotografciligi (ve ortak olan isimlerinin bas harflerini) resmetmemi rica etti. Birinde kiz erkegin fotografini cekerken, digerinde ise erkek kizin fotografini cekerken. .

And, VOILA! The result was much much closer to the sketch than I expected. Shall I also say better? The shadows on Vader were a bitch to work on fabric, but boy was it worth it!

Veeee, Sonuc! Tisortler, skece bekledigimden cok daha benziyordu. Bekledigimden daha da iyiydi dememe gerek var mi bilmem 🙂 Vader’in yuzundeki golge oyunlari kumasa cizerken biraz zorlasa da, kesinlikle degdi!
Heeeeey Fellas, long time, no see, huh? I am not going to give the excuse ” golly, i’ve been under satan’s yoke doing this and that” (even though it’s an accurate excuse)
But I was enjoying this specific project quite a lot! It did take a lot of time, and effort, sure, but on top of that the quantity was really notable!
One of the members of this  “Dance Club” contacted me asking for matching t-shirts for all of the students in their class. (A very diverse crowd, mind you, ranging from 40 year-olds to 8 year olds)
So I was more than happy to do it, it was also hilarious that they wanted “We’re not Normal!” written on top of  each shirt, with lip figures for girls and satan’s prong for boys. To make things more ‘couture’, I suggested we make each lip a different shade of red/rose and the prongs vivid green. They wanted purple letters on top of white t-shirts.

Heeeeey, dostlar, uzun zaman oldu degil mi? Peki, tamam size “Offf cok yogundum, kafami kasiyamiyordum” bahanesini vermeyecegim. (Gercekler bu olsa da…. )
Isin asli, bu proje gercekten yapmaktan keyif aldigim bir calismaydi. Epey zaman ve emek aldi, almasina ama bunun tek sebebi sayinin cok fazla olmasiydi!
Dans Klubunden biri benimle iletisime gecti ve tum ogrencilere takim bir seri yapmami istedi. (Ogrenci dediysem de 40 yasindan 8 yasina kadar turlu turlu insanlardan bahsediyoruz 🙂 )
Beyaz tisortler uzerine mor renkte “We’re not normal!” (normal degiliz) yazmami istediler. Son derece eglenceli bu fikir ile seve seve yapacagimi soyledim. Kizlara dudak sekli, erkeklere ise seytan asasi istediklerinde, olayi daha da kisisellestirmek icin dudaklarin renklerini farkli yapalim ve seytan asasi da fosforlu yesil olsun, dedim.

When I got the “Aaaaweesomeeee” feedback I wanted from the client, I went for it for the girls, but I used different shades of pinks and purples just to keep me instrested to paint the same design over and over again.

I made a sum of 14 t-shirts, I even threw in some “I’m not normal!”s which was the initial order, but then the class changed their mind. Since the typography (and the philosophy!) on the t-shirts were so good, the client wanted them anyway, and who was I to refuse?

So you know how like to gather up mindless surprised curious owls in a bunch and call them a “crew” or “buddies”. The creation of this latest version took a little more than I expected, because, well, it did!
I wanted something different, something a little diverse in this set, because everyone seems to dig my owl collection, so I wanted to offer something more versatile to every customer.
Just in case, I’ll add the former ‘original’ set of the crew, so you can see the difference for yourself.

OK, we ALL know how much a girl loves her jewelry. This one is no exception ! Diamond figure (just the figure) is a design I’ve been coveting for a while, and I should say the with simplicity it might as well de-throne the timeless “heart figure”.
So here you go, I’m sharing some of these diamond-orders (!) I’ve had from my clients last weekend.
For me, the below design speaks more, because, well its 3D and diamonds are all dimensions!

In this one, I used dimensional textile paint, relatively easy to find in your local stationary, but I got mine from amazon.com .
They work with heat, it says iron inside out, but I figured it doesn’t necessarily “need” ironing, but it needs heat to be fixed. When the paint reaches a certain degree of heat, it gets fixed. So just for the fun of it, I use blow dry and watch the paint swell! Lol :))
